紹介するのはエリック・タブチのアルファベット・トラックです。トラックをベッヒャー以降のタイポロジーっぽくグリッド状に配置しているようにも見えるし、トラック背面に書かれている文字をグラフィックデザイン的に提示してるようにも見えます。というか両方の効果を狙ってるんだろうな。タイポロジー・ミーツ・タイポグラフィ。(サイトは今更新してる？ちらっと新作が見えたり。)。”TWENTYSIX ABANDONED GASOLINE STATIONS”

I heart Magazine
間が開いていたと思ったらI heart Magazineも無事創刊されてました。”i heart photograph”と同じ”i heart”を冠する雑誌がストリート写真がメインにするのが、かなり意表つかれました。25000枚の写真の中から選ばれた88枚が掲載されており、次号は2009年初頭にロモグラフィーをフィーチャーするとのこと。今後どうなって行くのか注目です。

Vintage Photographs
4ヶ月以上ぶりの更新です。プライベートや仕事などでバタバタしていたこともあるのですが、最近そのへんとは別に、こういう活動に時間を割いていかないとな、と改めて思っているところです。
というわけで、紹介するのは”Vintage Photographs”という写真サイトです、というか、歴史的な写真のアーカイブをLive Journalで更新するブログ。僕はこういう所謂古写真を見るのが好きなのですが、残るから古いというのではなく、常に時の折々で手に取られ、見つめられ、時には捨てられる可能性というのはある訳で、そういった古い写真たちのなかで、アーカイブされうるもの（捨てられず残っていくもの、さらに言うと見いだされるもの）の持つ一定のクオリティというのは確実にあるよなと、見ながら感じています。・・っと、ポストされる写真は結構雑多です。

Nacho Alegre はスペイン、バルセロナ在住のフォトグラファー、写真にもあるようにmoleskineの手帳に写真を貼ったりしたブックをそのまま写真に撮ってポートフォリオサイトにアップしています。写真自体の質というよりも、プリントやそれを束ねたポートフォリオそのものの持っている物質性がすごく浮き彫りになるような感じで、すごくいい。もともとファッションとか、Vitra社のインテリアの撮影なんかをやっていたみたいで、最近刊行された”Apertamento Magazine”のアートディレクションもやっているみたいです。

妄撮 モーサツ
話題になっている写真集『妄撮』を紹介します。中学生男子の妄想を可視化するというコンセプトで制作されたそうで、写真はグラビア・アイドルやモデルの写真を、服を着た状態と下着(or水着)のカットを同ポジで撮影して、部分を破いたような処理をしています。撮影はTommyという人で、以前は主にファッション・フォトグラフィーで活躍するLeslie Keeのアシスタントをやってたそうです。中学生的な猥雑さというか下心が強調されつつも、どこか上品さを失っていないのはその辺のテクニックが効いているからじゃないでしょうか。

Sarah Pickeringはロンドン在住のフォトグラファーで、紹介する作品”Explosion”のように、爆発や火災の写真を撮っています。関連記事によると、軍隊や警察の演習の現場に行って撮影してるみたいです。そのほか、”Fire Scene”という作品は火災現場の写真、これどうやって撮っているのか気になります。火事の事件性と、構図、ライティングのスタティックな印象のミスマッチが面白いです。

Luis Mallo はキューバ出身、ニューヨークブルックリン在住の写真家です。ポートフォリオサイトにはいくつかプロジェクトがまとめられていますが、近年の作品、“IN CAMERA”を紹介します。端的に言うと、この作品はフェンス越しに撮影されたランドスケープフォトですが、その見せ方、見せなさ方（というものがあるとしたらですが）が、すごくいい。このプロジェクトはもう閉じてるのかわかりませんが、最新の“OPEN SECRET”も、そこから継承された思考が伺えて、興味深いです。

SANNAH KVIST
Sannah Kvistの一番新しいブログはここにあるのですが、その良さを一言で説明するのは、すごく難しい。ただ、なんていうんだろうか、納まりの良さというか、写真の中のコンポジションのされ方が非常に心地いいし、それが並べられてる順番もいいので、見てしまうというのはあるかも。あとはストロボの使い方がすごく効果的。
彼女は“She broke my heart so I broke her face!”というブログを以前やっていて(いまはそれがold blogとしてまとめられています)そのへんもなんだかリラックスというか変な気負いが感じられなくていいです。この人もスウェーデン在住。なんかあるのかな。
